Mix And Match

By now you know I enjoy bold and colorful prints!! I love how bright colors compliment all skin-tones. That’s why  I was so excited when i found this dress while thrifting at the Salvation Army. It’s one of my favorite vintage finds to date. Originally the length of the dress was below my knees, I wasn’t really feeling that so I found some scissors and hem tape and went to work.  The pattern reminds me of a Lily Pulitzer dress. Back in day as a college student I used to work at Nordstrom in the department that sold Lily Pulitzer dresses. All the sales associate including myself would always rush over to help customers in the Lily Pulitzer section. We were almost guaranteed to meet are personal sales goals. Okay that’s enough I’m done reminiscing lol!! Over the years I have learned to take risk with fashion. I chose to mix the floral dress with my tribal print  Steven Madden wedges. Here’s a quick and easy tip for  mixing patterns, try to use similar colors!!
